An active Yongsan railroad crossing where Dong-hoon and Ji-an kept crossing paths.
Baekbin at dusk
An LG Uplus report on 2021 foreign-visitor data also listed the crossing among the places foreign visitors often looked up (Korea Herald; Inquirer).
The Korea Herald’s drama tour describes a neighborhood of old shops and low buildings that is at its best after dark, when the lights come on and the crossing bell rings. This is an active rail crossing: VisitSeoul notes hundreds of trains a day. Take photos from behind the barriers and never step onto the tracks, even when the barriers are up.
A Yongsan walk
From the crossing, walk north through the old streets toward Sookmyung Women’s University Station and Cheongpa-dong. Fans place some neighborhood scenes in these alleys; no official source names specific spots, so they have no map pins here. Search the walk on Kakao Map or Naver Map, and keep to the streets: many buildings here are homes.
