Lara Jean’s week in Seoul

To All the Boys: Always and Forever opens with the Song-Covey sisters and their father on a family trip to Seoul, where Lara Jean (Lana Condor) follows traces of her late mother. The cast and crew shot in Seoul for about a week in September 2019, Cine21 reported from the set. SBS noted how the film shows Seoul’s landmarks along with things visitors love, from sheet masks and character socks to an N Seoul Tower padlock given as a gift.

Gwangjang Market is the best-sourced stop: SBS lists it, and Lana Condor told the Korea Times about spending eight hours eating noodle soup and dumplings for her market scene. DDP and N Seoul Tower each have one source so far. The film’s opening café, Greem Cafe in Yeonnam-dong, comes from Cine21’s set report.

Fans have also matched scenes to Myeongdong, Yeouido Hangang Park, Bongeunsa Temple and Seoul Sky. No official or press source has confirmed those yet.

Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) later returns to Seoul in her own Netflix series, XO, Kitty, which is a separate title.
