Hosting

The site is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) as part of delivering the pages.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics product that measures page views without setting cookies and without collecting personal information. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies or local storage for analytics and does not track visitors over time by IP address or user agent.

Cookies

This site does not set its own cookies for tracking. Cloudflare or the browser may still use technical cookies required to deliver HTTPS or security features. Every page loads Google AdSense code, so Google and its partners may set or read cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to serve and measure ads (see Ads below).

Ads

This site loads Google AdSense code on every page. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, to measure how ads perform, and, where you have allowed it, to show personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can manage or turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies via the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be shown a consent message before any personalized ads are served.

Affiliate links and embeds

Some guides show an official trailer from YouTube. Until you press play, the page loads only the video's thumbnail image from YouTube (i.ytimg.com); pressing play loads the player in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may set cookies from then on. Hotel links on guide and drama pages go through Partnerize (Expedia Group's affiliate network); when you click one, Partnerize and Expedia may set their own cookies on their sites to track the booking. Experience booking links on guide pages go through Ecomobi (Klook's affiliate network); when you click one, Ecomobi and Klook may set their own cookies on their sites to track the booking. Concert-ticket links on concert pages go through Creatrip's affiliate program; when you click one, Creatrip may set its own cookies on its site to track the booking. See Affiliate disclosure.

Maps

Interactive maps on drama pages load map tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation's tile servers when the map scrolls into view, so your browser sends them its IP address and the tile requests. See the OSMF privacy policy.

Photo submissions

If you send a photo through Share your photo, we collect only the photo, the credit name you choose, and, if you enter them, your Instagram handle and the month you visited. We do not collect your e-mail address, and we do not store your IP address or device details. Submissions are kept in private storage and deleted after review, or automatically after 60 days. Approved photos are shown with your credit name; ask us at the address below to remove one at any time. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots; Cloudflare processes the check under its own privacy policy.

Voting

If you tap the thumbs-up or thumbs-down button on a place, we store a hash of your IP address with your vote so one visitor cannot vote repeatedly on the same place. The hash cannot be reversed to recover your IP address, and we do not link votes to any name, email address, or account.
