MORE DETAIL

Last checked: Oct 6, 2026

Train to Busan filming locations

Six real stations along the KTX Gyeongbu Line.

The route

The film’s journey maps onto the actual KTX route: Seoul Station → Daejeon Station → Dongdaegu Station → Busan Station. Cheonan-Asan Station appears as a depicted stop, and Bujeon Station in downtown Busan hosted a few sequences.

What you won’t find

The train interiors — the claustrophobic carriages where most of the film happens — were full-scale studio sets with LED screens for the passing scenery. Ride a real KTX instead: Seoul to Busan in about 2 hours 18 minutes.
