MORE DETAIL

Last checked: Oct 1, 2026

Seoul, single

Single in Seoul (싱글 인 서울) is a 2023 Korean romantic comedy distributed by Lotte Entertainment and directed by Park Beom-su. Young-ho (Lee Dong-wook), an influencer who enjoys living alone, and Hyun-jin (Lim Soo-jung), an editor who doesn’t, team up on a book about single life in the city.

The film’s distributor says the team spent about five months scouting Seoul and shot some outdoor places, such as Myeongdong Cathedral and Gyeongbokgung, over several days to catch different light and seasons. Its location notes are the only source for the places below, so all four are labeled reported.

What was a set

Young-ho’s apartment, the publisher’s office (“Dongne Book”) and Gyeong-a’s flower bookstore were designed for the film, according to the production notes. They are not places you can visit, so this guide does not list them.

Getting there

All four places are in central Seoul or on the Han River. Find the nearest subway station and walking route on Naver Map (English UI) or Seoul Metro.

FAQ

Can I visit Young-ho's apartment, the publisher's office, or the flower bookstore?
No. The production notes say all three — Young-ho's apartment, the publisher "Dongne Book" and the flower bookstore — were built sets, so they are not visitable places.
Is Single in Seoul a Netflix original?
No. It is a Lotte Entertainment theatrical release; it streams on Netflix in some regions.
Will this page use film stills?
No.
Why is every place on this page "Reported"?
The four Seoul spots come only from Lotte Entertainment's own location notes, which counts as a single source. No second, independent source has confirmed any of them yet.
Do I need to pay admission at these spots?
Gyeongbokgung has set opening hours and admission, so check the palace's official page before you go. Jamsu Bridge and the riverside parks are free.
