Scope

Queen of Tears left visitable places in Seoul and in Mungyeong (Gyeongsangbuk-do). Mungyeong is its own day trip or overnight from Seoul (KTX-Eum via Pangyo is the usual rail pattern). Overseas episodes and Busan are outside this guide.

Places we couldn’t verify

  • Yongyeon-ri (“Yongdu-ri”) temporary village sets — Filmed in Mungyeong per Munhwa Ilbo; Daekyung Ilbo (2024-05-01) reported the on-site supermarket set was gone after filming. Do not plan around standing original houses.
  • Eco World “Yongdu-ri supermarket” exhibition — A themed exhibition at Eco World (not the demolished village set). Confirm hours on site.
  • Walkerhill Aston House wedding — Common in travel blogs; not yet backed by two separate sources here.
  • Busan — Outside this guide.

Lodging (neighborhoods)

  • Yeouido — Handy for The Hyundai Seoul.
  • Seongbuk / northern Seoul — For a museum half-day if you include the Stone Art Museum stop.
  • Mungyeong city / Gaeun — If combining railbike + Eco World on one overnight.

Seoul Metro

Seoul → Mungyeong (KTX-Eum)

Central Inland Line (중부내륙선) KTX-Eum extended Chungju–Mungyeong from 2024-11-30, with service patterned from Pangyo → Mungyeong in about 90 minutes, 8 round trips per day at opening (Yonhap coverage of the MOLIT opening). Buy and verify same-day trains on Korail (letskorail.com) or KorailTalk.

Mungyeong Station → Gurang-ri / Eco World

Not walkable. Road routing is on the order of ~15–25 km / ~20–30 min depending on destination; Gurang-ri and Eco World are much closer to each other than to the station. Plan a taxi or local ride.

FAQ

Do I need tickets for The Hyundai Seoul?
It is an open shopping mall — follow store hours. Some drama photo spots may have queues.

Should I reserve the railbike?
Yes. VisitKorea frames Gurang-ri as a timed product; reserve ahead and confirm operations before travel.

Is the Yongdu-ri village still standing?
The temporary Yongyeon-ri set was reported removed after filming. Eco World later runs a themed supermarket exhibition — that is a recreation, not the original village.
