About this page
Strong Woman Do Bong-soon follows Do Bong-soon, a young woman born with super-strength, as she becomes the bodyguard of Ahn Min-hyuk, the CEO of a gaming company, and the two fall for each other. The drama is, at heart, a series of dates — and Visit Seoul’s official course turns four of those dates into a walkable Seoul story, with one trip out of the city. Boramae Park gives the awkward early date, Seoul Land the theme-park date, Yeouido Hangang Park the easy riverside date, and Huam-dong the family side of the story, in the old neighborhood where her father’s bakery stands.
Boramae Park and Yeouido Hangang Park
Boramae Park, in Sindaebang-dong, is where Visit Seoul places Bong-soon and Min-hyuk’s awkward date. It is a large public park with a pond, walking trails and cherry blossoms in spring — a place built for a slow walk rather than a single photo. Yeouido Hangang Park, on the Han River, is the looser counterpart: Visit Seoul names it as the spacious park where Min-hyuk gets around on electric wheels, a riverside stretch for picnics and rented wheels rather than one marked spot.
Visiting the two parks
Visit Seoul describes Boramae Park as a park on the former site of the Korean Air Force Academy, with grassy areas, a walking trail, a jogging course and an air park with airplane sculptures. Admission is free, and the park is listed as open at all times, year-round. Yeouido Hangang Park: Visit Seoul lists free admission, 24-hour opening year-round, and Yeouinaru Station on Line 5, Exit 3, as the nearest station. Bicycles are available for rent, an outdoor pool opens in summer; spring brings cherry blossoms while autumn brings the Seoul International Fireworks Festival.
Seoul Land
Seoul Land is the guide’s one stop outside Seoul, and the one to plan around. Visit Seoul says that after the ups and downs of their relationship, the couple realize they should be together and go to Seoul Land, where they ride roller coasters. The park stands in Gwacheon, at Seoul Grand Park Station, so treat it as a half-day trip out of central Seoul and check its current admission and hours before you go — this guide states neither.
Planning Seoul Land
Seoul Land needs the most planning, because it sits inside the Seoul Grand Park area. Visit Seoul gives Seoul Grand Park Station on Line 4, Exit 2, about 1.4 kilometres away, so allow time. Opened in 1988 as Korea’s first comprehensive theme park, it has five themed areas — World Plaza, Samcheoli Land, Future Land, Fantasy Land and Adventure Land — with an evening laser show and seasonal festivals. Hours vary by day, so check the current calendar before you go; this guide states no admission fee.
Huam-dong
Huam-dong, in Yongsan-gu, is the guide’s most careful stop. Visit Seoul says the filming location of Dobong Hodu, the bakery owned by Bong-soon’s father, can be found in this old neighborhood, and mentions two small spots nearby, the café Sowol-gil Milyoung and the bar Chungwangsaseol, only as date spots, not as filming locations. What Visit Seoul does not do is say either business is the bakery itself, so this guide claims the neighborhood, not a shop. Walk it as a neighborhood of small shops and quiet streets, not as a set, and leave homes and working businesses alone.
Walking Huam-dong
Huam-dong is a walk, not a single destination. Visit Seoul describes an old neighborhood still filled with small mom-and-pop shops, with a quaint and nostalgic feel, and small galleries and cafés around the bus terminus area. Its two named nearby date spots are Sowol-gil Milyoung, a café offering Taiwanese teas, and Chungwangsaseol, a bar above the 108 Stairs — neither is presented as the bakery itself, and neither is a stop in this guide. Keep to public streets and leave residential lanes quiet.
Getting there
Three stops are in Seoul — Boramae Park in Dongjak-gu, Yeouido Hangang Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Huam-dong in Yongsan-gu — and Seoul Land sits in Gwacheon, just south of the city. No last-mile transit route was verified for any stop from the source used here, so check subway or bus options on arrival, and recheck each place’s access on the day. For more Seoul filming places, see Coffee Prince’s Seoul, Goblin’s Seoul and My Love from the Star’s Seoul.
How we checked
All four stops come from Visit Seoul’s official Strong Woman Do Bong-soon date-spots course, published April 2017 and edited June 2023, checked on Oct 27, 2026. A second independent exact-spot source was sought for each stop in Korean and English; only fan and tour pages repeating the same places turned up, so all four stops stay reported. Scene details appear only where Visit Seoul states them, and no episode numbers are claimed, because the source used here gives none. Our methodology explains how each label is earned.
