About this page
King the Land is a hotel romance, and its real geography is a hotel map. Gu Won inherits the King Hotel, Cheon Sa-rang works her way up inside it, and the show films that world in real hotels: the lobby of the Jungmun Parnas Hotel in Jeju plays the main hotel setting, and Paradise City in Incheon holds the interview room, the award room and the grand ballroom of the welcome-back ceremony. Between the hotels sits Gapado Island, a small island off Jeju’s south coast, where the show films a bicycle date. All three stops are reported, not confirmed — each rests on one official source, and this guide says so plainly rather than dressing fan repetition up as a second source.
Jeju: the lobby and the island
The Jungmun Parnas Hotel is the guide’s anchor. VisitKorea says its lobby was the filming location for the main setting in the drama, that the hotel building itself was filmed, and that many scenes were shot inside the hotel, with the sunlit lobby setting a cheerful mood. What VisitKorea does not say is whether a non-guest can walk into that lobby, so this guide does not promise entry: it describes the hotel only as a filming location, gives no room or booking information, and recommends no stay. View the building from outside unless you confirm access on the day.
Gapado Island is the looser, more enjoyable stop. VisitKorea names the island as the place of the bicycle date scene and names no single point on it — no beach, road or café — so the island itself is the stop. Its course lists Moseulpo Port as the port where ships to Gapado pass by, so plan around the Moseulpo ferry and check the day’s sailing times. Fan pages name a guesthouse on the island, but that claim rests on a single fan blog, so it is left out of the guide.
Incheon: Paradise City
Paradise City, on Yeongjong Island near Incheon International Airport, is the guide’s one mainland stop, and the most precisely sourced. Incheon Tourism Organization says Sa-rang’s internship interview and award ceremony were both filmed in Paradise City’s meeting room, and that the ceremony welcoming Gu Won back as general manager in episode 2 was filmed in the grand ballroom. The same filming-location-only rule applies here as in Jeju: the meeting room and ballroom are event spaces, not guaranteed walk-in stops, and this guide gives no room, rate or booking information and recommends no stay. The complex’s public areas are a separate matter from the filmed rooms, so check access before you go.
Beyond Korea: Thailand, mention only
The show also sends its characters and their team to Thailand, and Thailand’s government portal names Wat Arun Ratchawararam in Bangkok as one of the places fans visit and photograph in Thai outfits following the series. Overseas scenes sit outside this Korea travel guide’s range, so Wat Arun is mentioned here only and is not a stop. Other Bangkok places named by fan and commercial listicles — markets, canals, villas and viewpoints — rest on no Thai official or original-press source found on Oct 27, 2026, so none of them is named here.
Getting there
Two stops are in Jeju — the Jungmun Parnas Hotel in Seogwipo and Gapado Island, reached by ferry from Moseulpo Port — and one is in Incheon, Paradise City in Yeongjong-gu. No last-mile transit route was verified for any stop from the sources used here, so check local options on arrival, and recheck each place’s access on the day. Jeju has no KTX, and no approved KTX range covers the Incheon stop, so no train times or fares appear in this guide. How we checked
All three stops were checked on Oct 27, 2026 against their official sources, opened directly: VisitKorea’s King the Land in Jeju course for the Parnas Hotel lobby and Gapado Island, and Incheon Tourism Organization’s Incheon filming-locations list for Paradise City. A second independent exact-spot source was sought for each stop in Korean and English; VisitKorea’s own hotel page is the same organization, not a second source, and other pages repeating the same places are fan or tour pages, so all three stops stay reported. Scene details appear only where a cited source states them, and the only episode number claimed is episode 2 at Paradise City, which the Incheon source states. Our methodology explains how each label is earned.
