Production geography (disclaimer)

English Wikipedia and Korean major press (Sports Dong-A; Maeil Kyungje location behind) report that production filmed in Switzerland, Mongolia, and South Korea, including Jeju oreums for DMZ-look scenes and open sets outside Seoul. VisitKorea publishes CLOY-related itineraries for Chungju (e.g. Binaeseom picnic course) and Jeju — not for the Seoul restaurant/venue cards above. Do not expect a “full pilgrimage” inside Seoul city limits.

Fares and schedules change. Prefer official pages on your travel day.

Incheon Airport (ICN) → Seoul

Seoul Metropolitan Government English page (accessed Sep 23, 2026; still cited Sep 24, 2026) describes:

  • AREX All-Stop: about 59 min Terminal 1 → Seoul Station; about 66 min Terminal 2 → Seoul Station; listed fare band ₩4,150–4,750 one-way.
  • AREX Express: nonstop; about 43 min T1 / 51 min T2; listed fare ₩13,000 one-way.

VisitKorea’s Airport Transportation Guide was last updated May 22, 2026 (accessed Sep 23, 2026). An older VisitKorea ICN page still carries COVID-era Express suspension text and older Express fare figures — use the newer guide instead. Confirm live tickets on AREX or station machines. Incheon Airport lists Airport Railroad access at B1 Transport Centers and hotline 1599-7788.

Gimpo Airport (GMP)

VisitKorea (same May 22, 2026 guide): AREX All-Stop about 23 minutes GMP → Seoul Station. Exact subway fare depends on destination — use a route planner on the day.

Seoul Metro (for in-city hops)

Seoul Metro official English fare page (accessed Sep 23, 2026): adult transportation-card basic fare 1,550 KRW up to 10 km, then distance add-ons; single-use tickets cost 100 KRW more than the card fare. Single-journey tickets use a 500 KRW deposit refunded at destination machines. English maps: seoulmetro.co.kr/en.

FAQ

Are the North Korea village scenes in Seoul?
No. Press and Wikipedia report purpose-built sets and non-Seoul locations. Do not look for that village inside Seoul.
Can I walk into Buam 7 like a museum?
Unknown from public tourism copy alone. VisitSeoul frames it as a cultural/event space and recommends a taxi; check access before going.
Is Creatrip an official source?
No. It is useful as a commercial travel editorial. It does not by itself meet this site’s confirmed bar.
Did BBQ press confirm a Seoul filming branch?
Sisa Magazine and Simin Ilbo (near-identical BBQ PR wording) name Helios City in Songpa as additional filming, plus Ilsan and Asan Techno outside Seoul. That is not enough for this site’s confirmed bar, and it does not by itself confirm the Ewha Creatrip claim.
Why are there zero “confirmed” Seoul pins?
Under this site’s independence rules, VisitSeoul cannot corroborate itself, Gangnam tourism pages cannot corroborate each other, and no VisitKorea Seoul venue card or major-press piece naming Star City / Buam 7 / Wolfgang / Acredo for CLOY was found as of 2026-09-24. Cards stay honest reported as.
Should I trust a single AREX fare number from an old blog?
No. Official pages disagree across update dates. Check AREX or machines on travel day.
Will this page use drama stills?
