About this page
Our Blues (우리들의 블루스) aired on tvN from April 9 to Jun 12, 2022, in 20 episodes, written by Noh Hee-kyung and directed by Kim Kyu-tae. It follows people who live and work around the fictional Jeju village of Pureung, with Dong-seok (Lee Byung-hun), Young-ok (Han Ji-min) and Jeong-jun (Kim Woo-bin) among them. It streams on Netflix.
Geumneung-ri and Gapado are confirmed by VisitKorea plus independent press. Hallim Port and Goseong market are reported by VisitKorea only.
The real ‘Pureung Village’: Geumneung-ri, Hallim
Geumneung-ri sits on Jeju’s west coast in Hallim-eup. VisitKorea says its small port and stone-wall beach road were the backdrop for many scenes, and Jeju Sori reports the village as the setting of Pureung. The harbor has a breakwater with a white lighthouse, and Geumneung Beach is next door. Hallim Port, where VisitKorea says the episode 1 auction was filmed, is also in Hallim-eup.
This is a lived-in village. Visit quietly, keep to public roads and the shore, and stay off stone walls, fields and private land.
Gapado Island
Young-ok and Jeong-jun’s island trip was filmed on Gapado, according to VisitKorea and JoongAng Ilbo. It is a low, flat island off the southwest coast, easy to walk or cycle. Ferries leave from Unjin Port in Moseulpo; VisitKorea puts the crossing at about 15 minutes (approx., checked Sep 28, 2026). Check times on the official ferry site. VisitKorea notes the barley fields are greenest from March to May.
Jeju markets and everyday life
VisitKorea names Goseong Five-day Market as the market Ok-dong and Ho-sik often visited. It is in Goseong-ri, Seongsan-eup, near Seongsan Ilchulbong on the east side of the island, and VisitKorea lists market days as dates ending in 4 and 9.

Getting there
Jeju is an island — fly in. The Seoul Gimpo (GMP) ↔ Jeju (CJU) route is the world’s busiest domestic air route, with 90+ daily nonstops taking about 1h15m. One-way fares typically range ₩30,000–100,000 depending on airline and how far ahead you book; check current prices when planning. Airlines include Korean Air, Asiana, Jeju Air, Jin Air, Air Busan, and T’way (now Trinity Airways). Book 2–4 weeks ahead for the best fares; budget carriers charge extra for checked baggage. From Busan Gimhae (PUS), flights to Jeju take about 1h.
From Jeju Airport or Jeju City, search each route on Naver Map (English UI). For Gapado, check the official Gapado–Marado ferry site.
Good to know: Pocha (포차) culture
Jeju’s port-side stalls share DNA with the mainland pocha — the tented street stalls at the heart of Korea’s late-night food culture.
A pocha (포차), short for pojangmacha (포장마차, “covered wagon”), is a canvas-tented street stall where Koreans eat and drink late into the night. Think plastic stools, orange tarps, steam on the tent walls, and a menu of comfort food — tteokbokki, odeng (fish cake skewers), pajeon (savory pancakes), and ramyeon — washed down with soju or makgeolli. Pochas are the classic “second round” (2차) stop after dinner: the place coworkers and friends land when the night isn’t over yet. They’ve appeared in countless K-dramas as the setting for heart-to-heart conversations. Ordering is simple — point at the menu or the dishes displayed in the glass case, and don’t be surprised if the owner (often a warm ajumma) throws in a free side dish as “service” (서비스). Expect to spend roughly ₩15,000–20,000 per person. Cash was once king, but most now take cards. Famous pocha streets include Jongno 3-ga and Mapo in Seoul; many operate from evening until the small hours.
