Gocheok Sky Dome
Korea’s largest indoor concert venue is a domed baseball stadium in Guro-gu, south-west Seoul. This page covers the practical facts for a concert night: how to get there, how big it is, and what to expect inside. It does not track artists, schedules, or tickets.
This is a concert venue, not a K-drama filming location. Seoul City lists Gocheok Sky Dome among city facilities that productions have used as backdrops, but no specific drama has been named, so this site does not list it as a filming location.

Getting there
Subway (the way to go)
Take Seoul Subway Line 1 to Guil Station (구일역) and leave by Exit 2. The operator gives the walk from Exit 2 as about 3 minutes (about 150 m); VisitSeoul says about 5 minutes. Allow extra time on a show night: Guil is a small station and the exit queues after a big event.
Check that your train stops at Guil before you board — not every Line 1 service calls there. Find the live route on the day with Kakao Map or Naver Map, or check Seoul Metro.
If Guil Station is jammed
Two other Line 1 stations serve the dome on foot, using the operator’s walking times: Gaebong Station (개봉역), Exit 2, about 15 minutes, and Guro Station (구로역), about 20 minutes. From Sindorim Station (Lines 1 and 2), buses cover the last three stops to the dome. Walking one station over after the show is often faster than queuing at Guil.
Bus
City buses run along Gyeongin-ro past the dome. Bus numbers and stops change, so check the route from your accommodation in Naver Map or Kakao Map on the day rather than relying on a printed list.
Getting There from the Airport
Times and fares below are approximate — check Naver Map or Kakao Map on the day for the exact route, time, and cost. Fares assume a T-money card; buy one at an airport convenience store.
From Incheon International Airport (ICN)
Option 1: AREX + Line 1 [RECOMMENDED]
- Route: ICN → Seoul Station → Guil Station
- Time: approximately 80–90 minutes total
- Cost: approximately ₩6,000+ total (AREX All-Stop about ₩4,750 from Terminal 1 to Seoul Station, plus a separate Line 1 fare to Guil)
- Steps: Take AREX (All-Stop) from ICN Terminal 1 to Seoul Station (approximately 60 min). Transfer to Line 1 at Seoul Station. Take Line 1 to Guil Station (approximately 20 min). Exit at Guil Station, Exit 2. Walk 3–5 minutes to Gocheok Sky Dome.
Option 2: Taxi
- Time: approximately 45–60 minutes (traffic dependent)
- Cost: approximately ₩50,000–₩70,000
- Note: Use official taxi queue, avoid unlicensed drivers
From Gimpo International Airport (GMP)
Option 1: Subway
- Route: GMP → Guil Station via Lines 9, 2, 1
- Time: approximately 35–40 minutes
- Cost: approximately ₩2,000 (T-money card)
Option 2: Taxi
- Time: approximately 30 minutes (traffic dependent)

Tips: Buy T-money card at airport convenience store. Download Naver Map app for real-time transit. Allow extra 30 minutes on concert days.
Parking
Parking at the dome is limited and may be reserved for an event. Check access before driving; the subway is the reliable option on a sold-out night.
The venue
Gocheok Sky Dome is Korea’s first dome-type baseball stadium (VisitKorea). Completed in September 2015, it replaced Dongdaemun Baseball Stadium and has been home to the Kiwoom Heroes since 2016. The dome has two basement floors and four above-ground floors, and because it is fully roofed, games and events run regardless of season and weather. Beyond the ballpark, the complex includes public sports facilities — VisitSeoul lists a swimming pool, gym, soccer field and basketball field — and VisitKorea notes a baseball-themed street connected to the dome.
The stadium has also hosted international baseball: the first round of the 2017 World Baseball Classic and the opening round of Group C at the 2019 WBSC Premier 12 were played here.
Concerts here
For concerts, the baseball field becomes a floor area with seating, so the crowd can be larger than the seated figure — VisitSeoul puts cultural-event capacity at up to 20,200. VisitKorea describes the dome as Korea’s largest indoor concert venue, holding up to 18,000 people, and names recent K-pop concerts by NCT, TXT and G-Dragon, plus the 2025 Melon Music Awards. VisitSeoul also notes the KBS Music Awards among the shows staged here.
This page does not list upcoming shows, setlists, or ticket information. For a specific show, the organizer’s notice is the source for doors, entry, and rules.
What to expect on show night
- Indoor, whatever the weather. The fixed roof means the show does not move for rain or cold. Dress for the walk from the station, not for the forecast inside.
- A ballpark layout. The stage sits at one end of a baseball bowl, so sightlines vary with the stage layout. Check the seat map for your show before you buy.
- Food inside. VisitSeoul lists 32 shops inside the dome serving chicken, snack food and pizza, plus a convenience store (as of 2024), and one store in the outside management building. Eat near the station before the show if you want a full meal.
- Food and drink rules depend on the event. VisitSeoul notes that bringing food and drinks may be restricted depending on the event: at baseball games, drinks in plastic bottles of 1 L or less are allowed, while alcohol, cans and glass bottles are not. Concert rules are set per show — check the organizer’s notice.
- Bag rules are set per show by the organizer, not by the venue. Check the show notice for size limits and prohibited items.
- Leave with a plan. The crowd leaves the bowl faster than Guil Station can absorb it. Agree a meeting point away from the main gate, and consider walking to Gaebong or Guro Station instead of queuing at Guil.
