YES24 Live Hall

YES24 Live Hall (예스24라이브홀) is Seoul’s purpose-built pop concert hall in Gwangjin-gu — an intimate standing hall of roughly two thousand people, the step between a showcase room and an arena. This page covers the practical facts for a concert trip: how to get there, how big it is, and what to expect. It does not track artists, schedules, or tickets.

This is a concert venue, not a K-drama filming location. YES24 Live Hall is an event venue, listed here under Concert Venues, separate from our filming-location guides.

The venue

YES24 Live Hall opened on 2 June 2006 as SEOUL-AX, Korea’s first concert hall built specifically for pop music, in a municipal building in a Gwangjin-gu district complex. It has carried a series of sponsor names — Melon AX, AX-Korea, Uniqlo AX — and has been YES24 Live Hall since 2015. Its typical bookings are mid-size K-pop and indie shows, showcases, fan meetings, and touring acts: a room where a rising act can sell out on the way to gymnasium and arena stages.

What to expect on show night

  • An intimate standing hall. Shows typically use a standing floor with seated tiers — close sightlines and immediate sound, but standing room means you queue for position. Arrive early for standing shows.
  • Capacity varies by layout. The same room sells roughly 2,000–2,500 standing or about 1,050–1,090 seated, depending on the stage and seating plan. Check the seating chart for your show before you buy.
  • Hours vary by event. Opening, doors and show times are set per event, not by the venue. Use the seating plan published for your show.
  • Bring the event notice, not this page. Bag rules, entry requirements and ID checks are set by each show’s promoter. Confirm them on the event’s own notice before you go. Lockers on site take coins — bring small change if you plan to use one.
  • Eastern Seoul, not Gangnam. The hall is in Gwangjin-gu, near the Han River. Food options right at the hall are limited; eat near Gwangnaru Station or in the nearby Konkuk University area before the show.
