How Foreigners Buy K-pop Concert Tickets in Korea

Korean ticketing sites are built for Korean residents, and most K-pop shows sell out in minutes. This guide explains the system that actually works for visitors: the global version of each platform, the passport-name identity check, fan-club presales, and what to bring on concert day.

Not a filming location. This is a concert-ticketing guide in our Concert Venues section, not a K-drama filming-location guide. Concert venues are event spaces; a concert held at a venue does not make it a filming location.

We promise no tickets and no availability. Prices, sale times, and pickup rules change per show, and the figures below are the announced ones for the named November 2026 shows. For any show, the official event notice is the final word — always buy from the link in that notice. This page links to official ticketing platforms, our own venue guides, and one affiliate partner (Creatrip) for foreigner-only packages. This page contains affiliate links: if you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

The core rule: one show, one platform

The promoter picks one ticketing platform for each show, and the official event notice names it. You cannot move a show to a different platform, and no other platform will sell that show's tickets. If you land on the wrong platform, you are looking at the wrong shop.

Korean ticketing pages ask for I-PIN or a Korean resident registration number, which foreigners cannot obtain. That is why global versions exist: the global pages sign you up with email and check your identity against your passport name instead. The whole process below starts from the official notice and stays on the global page.

The platforms

A. NOL World — world.nol.com

Formerly Interpark Global, rebranded 1 December 2025. 100% English interface. Sign up with email, Google, or Apple — no Korean phone needed. Your account name must match your passport exactly, and some shows ask for an advance passport identity check (allow about 24 hours). Payment: VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, UnionPay. Booking fee around ₩8,000, reported Fall 2026. Used by large tours, festivals, and musicals. NOL World ↗

Trap: the Korean NOL page and the global page are different shops with different inventory and rules. Always use the global page.

B. YES24 Ticket Global — ticket.yes24.com/English

The English site can run 1–2 days behind the Korean site. Sign up with email, no Korean phone. This is the strictest platform: shows restricted to identity-checked members require eKYC — an email code, then your nationality, then a passport photo, then a face photo. Korean passports are not accepted on the foreign route. Finish this 1–2 days before the sale, not on sale day. Payment: credit cards plus PayPal; excludes Amex issued outside Korea and China UnionPay. Your card needs 3-D Secure. Pickup is usually will-call: bring ID, and the booking name must match your passport. Used by SM artists (NCT, aespa, Red Velvet) and independents. YES24 Ticket Global ↗

C. Melon Ticket — two realities

A global version, tkglobal.melon.com ↗, exists for some shows, with event-specific passport identity checks. But many Melon shows are Korean-only: the Korean site has no English and asks for a Korean mobile number (010-) for identity checks. If there is no global page for your show, there is no foreigner-friendly route on Melon itself — use a foreigner-only package or you cannot buy. Fall 2026 idol shows on Melon include EXO and ONEW.

D. Ticketlink Global — ticketlink.co.kr/global/en

Operator NHN LINK. Languages: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English. A similar identity-checked-member and passport eKYC flow. A backup platform for many shows; Fall 2026 idol shows include D.O. and Lee Changsub. Ticketlink Global ↗

E. Weverse — weverse.io (presale lane only, not a ticket seller)

Weverse is the only route to HYBE fan-club presales: BTS, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, ENHYPEN, NewJeans, TXT, KATSEYE. Buy the annual fan-club membership in Weverse Shop (about $25–30 USD) and you get a membership code (11 characters) that opens the presale on the ticketing platform — usually NOL World — 1–2 days before general sale. Most presales cap 2 tickets per code, some cap 1. The membership must be active before registration opens, not just before the sale. Membership buys presale entry, not a seat. Weverse ↗

Step by step: buying a ticket

  1. Find the official notice. Follow the ticket link to the exact global event page. Note the platform, the on-sale time in KST, presale vs. general, the per-person limit, the ID policy, and pickup.
  2. Create the global account days early. Use the global page, and enter your name exactly as it appears on your passport.
  3. Complete the identity check days early. Passport checks and eKYC take time; sale day is too late.
  4. Fan-club presale: join the membership and the separate identity-check window. The membership must be active before registration opens, and the presale identity check is a separate step from buying the membership.
  5. Prepare payment. Enable international payments and 3-D Secure, keep a backup card ready, and tell your bank you will pay a Korean merchant.
  6. Sale day: log in 10–15 minutes early, one device and one browser only. NOL ends your existing queue if you open a second one. Pick seats, pay within the time limit, and screenshot the reservation number.
  7. Save the confirmation offline. Keep the booking number, the confirmation email, and the logged-in booking page where you can reach them without signal.
  8. Concert day: bring your original passport (or ARC). Copies and screenshots are not accepted. Some venues ask for the physical card you paid with. Arrive 1–2 hours early for the Global Ticket Counter.

Presale vs. general sale

Fan-club presale General sale
Who can buy Fan-club members only, with a membership code Anyone with an identity-checked account
When 1–2 days before general sale On the announced general-sale date
Odds Better, but still first come, first served Brutal — popular shows sell out in under 2 minutes
Limit Often 1 ticket per person per show, or 2 per code Often 2 tickets per person

Canceled seats reappear after payment deadlines pass, so a sold-out show can briefly open up again. Keep checking the official event page — never a reseller.

Ticket pickup and delivery

The event decides the format. Mobile ticket only: some shows issue tickets only in the platform's app — the TXT Seoul shows below are mobile-only in the NOL World app, and the ticket cannot be forwarded. Will-call: other shows are pickup only — for example, the BIGBANG Goyang show used pickup only, with the booth opening 3–4 hours before the show; bring photo ID and your reservation. Delivery is rare for foreign buyers.

For will-call, bring:

  • Your original passport or ARC
  • Booking confirmation and reservation number
  • The app or a logged-in booking page
  • Your fan-club card or membership screen, if the show requires it
  • The physical payment card you paid with

ID is strict: the booking name must match your passport exactly. A single spelling difference can mean no ticket.

Worked examples: November 2026, idol shows only

These are worked examples of how the system reads in practice, not live availability. Sale windows that have already passed are marked as such.

TXT — WORLD TOUR ‘STEAL THE WIND’ IN SEOUL, Nov 13–15, KSPO Dome

Platform: NOL + NOL World only. Announced timeline: global membership identity check Sep 28, 2PM – Oct 2, 11:59PM KST; global presale Oct 2, 8PM–11:59PM KST; general sale Oct 6, 8PM KST. These sale windows have already passed — they are shown as an example of how a sale timeline reads.

Steps: NOL World account + passport identity check, then fan-club members press Membership Member Verify and log in to Weverse (one NOL World ID links to one Weverse account only). Eligibility: TXT OFFICIAL FANCLUB MOA MEMBERSHIP (GLOBAL / USA / JAPAN). Limit: 1 ticket per person per show, presale included. Announced prices, VAT included: SOUND CHECK standing ₩220,000; M&G seated ₩253,000; GENERAL seated ₩165,000. Delivery: mobile ticket only. Age 9+.

EXO — PLANET #6 - EXhOrizon [dot], Nov 6–8, KSPO Dome

Platform: Melon Ticket. This is the hardest foreigner route on this page. Check EXO's official notice for the Melon Global link (tkglobal.melon.com). If there is no global page for this show, there is no direct foreigner route — use a foreigner-only package instead. See also the November 2026 idol concert schedule.

KGMA 2026, Nov 7–8, Gocheok Sky Dome (40 acts)

Regular tickets are on the Korean NOL site only — there is no English page. Announced prices: VIP ₩121,000; R ₩99,000; S ₩77,000; wheelchair ₩55,000 (includes 1 companion, by phone). Limit: 2 tickets per person per day. Bank transfer by 11:30PM KST the same day, or the booking cancels. Lineup, Saturday Nov 7 Artist Day: TREASURE, P1Harmony, MEOVV, and others. Sunday Nov 8 Music Day: RIIZE, ATEEZ, ITZY, TWS, Hearts2Hearts, and others.

Foreigner options: (1) an inbound inquiry via creatoroo.com — sign up, then My Page → Inquiry, with your name, phone, visit date, and tickets wanted. (2) Foreigner-only packages (next section): Trazy, Creatrip, KoreaTravelEasy, Wowkos, and SeoulTravelPass sell floor + shuttle packages for foreigners only. Example Wowkos prices: C Floor + shuttle ₩310,000; B ₩370,000; A ₩390,000; V ₩240,000; 2-day A ₩780,000. Packages require the original passport at pickup, give no refund if the holder is not the foreign purchaser, and disclose seat numbers on event day only. Alternative: foreigner-only packages

Travel platforms partner with organizers for a block of seats reserved for foreign passport holders. These are official allocations, sold only after they are secured. Price is face value plus a service fee. Who sells them: Trazy, Creatrip, KoreaTravelEasy, Wowkos / SeoulTravelPass. How it works: book on the provider's English site, then show your mobile voucher and your original passport at the booth. Only non-Korean nationals can use them. Klook occasionally sells award-show packages but is not a primary seller for regular concerts. Browse K-pop concert packages on Creatrip ↗ (affiliate link)

Pros: no competition with the Korean fanbase, English support, transport included on some packages. Cons: higher price, random seat (disclosed on event day), consecutive seating not guaranteed, and stricter cancellation — Wowkos, for example, gives a full refund only if canceled by 12PM KST 21 days before the event.

10 common problems

  1. Using the Korean page instead of the global page. Different shop, different rules — the Korean page will block you at identity check.
  2. Waiting until sale day to do the identity check. Passport checks and eKYC take hours to days.
  3. Name mismatch. Your account name must match your passport exactly, letter for letter.
  4. Card declined. No international payments, no 3-D Secure, or a card type the platform excludes.
  5. Multiple devices or browsers in the queue. NOL ends your existing queue if you open a second one.
  6. Buying the fan-club membership too late. It must be active before registration opens, not before the sale.
  7. Assuming membership means a seat. Membership buys presale entry; presales are still first come, first served.
  8. Resale or screenshot tickets. Tickets are tied to the first buyer's identity and cannot be transferred. Do not buy from private resellers, Twitter sellers, or unofficial helpers.
  9. Assuming one platform has all shows. Each show lives on one platform only — check the official notice.
  10. Missing the pickup window. Will-call booths close; a mobile ticket needs the right app set up before the show.

Practical checklist

  1. Start from the official notice for your show.
  2. Create the global account days early, name exactly as on your passport.
  3. Complete the identity check days early.
  4. For a presale: membership active before registration opens, plus the presale identity-check window.
  5. Enable international payments and 3-D Secure; keep a backup card ready.
  6. Convert the on-sale time to KST (UTC+9, no daylight saving).
  7. Log in 10–15 minutes early, one device and one browser.
  8. Screenshot the confirmation and reservation number.
  9. Pack your original passport, booking number, physical payment card, and fan-club screen.
  10. Arrive 1–2 hours early for the Global Ticket Counter.
  11. If the show is Korean-only, use a foreigner-only package or the creatoroo inquiry route.

What this page does not promise

  • No ticket availability. A show can sell out in under 2 minutes, and we do not track live stock.
  • No price promises. Announced prices change per show — always confirm on the official event page.
  • No resale links. We never link to resale sites.
  • No workarounds. Do not use a friend's Korean account — the ID check on concert day will fail, because the booking name will not match your passport.

Questions

Can foreigners buy K-pop concert tickets without a Korean phone number?

Yes, on the global version of each ticketing platform. The Korean pages ask for I-PIN or a Korean resident registration number, which foreigners cannot obtain. The global pages sign you up with email and check your identity against your passport name instead.

Do I need a fan-club membership to buy tickets?

Only for a fan-club presale. General sale is open to anyone with an identity-checked account on the show's platform. A membership buys you a presale entry window, not a seat — presales are still first come, first served.

Why was my card declined on a Korean ticketing site?

The usual causes are a card without international payments enabled, a missing 3-D Secure step, or a card type the platform does not take — YES24 Global, for example, does not take Amex issued outside Korea or China UnionPay. Enable international payments and 3-D Secure, and keep a backup card ready.

Can I buy tickets from a reseller or use a screenshot of someone else's ticket?

No. Korean concert tickets are tied to the first buyer's identity, and will-call pickup checks your passport against the booking name. A screenshot or a ticket bought from a private reseller will not get you in. Buy only through the official platform or an official foreigner-only package.

What ID do I bring on concert day?

Your original passport (or Alien Registration Card if you live in Korea). Copies and screenshots are not accepted. Some venues also ask for the physical card you paid with, so bring that too.

Are the prices and sale times on this page still current?

They were the announced figures for the named November 2026 shows when this page was written. Prices, sale times, and pickup rules change per show, so always confirm them on that show's official event notice before you buy.
