VisitKorea calls Hwarang Hill a meadow where Kang-ho and neighborhood children often played. Korea JoongAng Daily says it is where Kang-ho hangs out with the two children in the first scenes of the drama, and names its Meditation Rock as the viewpoint over the village and rice paddies below.

VisitKorea lists Dori Village Ginkgo Tree Forest in its Good Bad Mother course and says it is where Kang-ho found the twins' bouncy ball, in a thick forest of densely planted ginkgo trees that turns golden in fall. No second independent exact-spot source was found on 2026-10-27, so the stop stays reported.
